Join Matthew Cocks, Sam Young, Barry Agg and Lee-Roy this Saturday for 979fm’s broadcasts of the Ballarat Football League Grand Final live from Ballarat’s Eastern Oval. This year’s combatants are the Bacchus Marsh Cobras and the Sunbury Lions.
Sunbury are no strangers to grand finals, having won 5 BFL premierships since joining the competition in 1997. Before joining the BFL they were part of the Riddell District Football League, winning 19 premierships. The Cobras, who have been in the BFL since 1979, are playing for their first senior football premiership in the Ballarat League
In the other football grades Redan take on East Point in the reserves and East Point battle North Ballarat City in the Under 18.5s. In the A-Grade netball East Point play North Ballarat City. In B-Grade it’s Sunbury vs Lake Wendouree, Grade is Sunbury vs Ballarat, D-Grade is North Ballarat City vs Ballarat and in 19 & Under netball Redan take on Ballarat
